My recent stay at Alme in Playa del Carmen was fantastic. I stayed for a week and found the private room to be comfortable and clean, with the added bonus of air conditioning. The hostel is conveniently located within a 7-minute walk to the city center and transportation stations. The beach and ferry pier to Cozumel are only a 12-minute walk away. The hostel staff was friendly and always ready to provide helpful information. The communal kitchen was well-maintained, and there were lockers in the room for added security. Additionally, the presence of a nearby laundry service made things even more convenient.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

the staff at Alme was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. the facilities were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and well-maintained showers. I especially appreciated the kitchen area, which had everything I needed, and the big room with plenty of seating and desk areas. the internet connection was outstanding, and the staff was always attentive to any needs or questions. I also want to mention the early morning staff member who was super on top of things and even unlocked the doors for me when I had an early meetup. I had a wonderful stay at this hostel. Cons: Can't fault the property in any way. 👌.

This hostel is conveniently located, with easy access to the ferry terminal and other attractions. It is situated in a quieter part of town, away from the noise of the busy streets, yet still close to everything. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with air conditioning that is kept on during the day. the staff is friendly and the facilities, such as the kitchen and fridge, are useful.
The hostel's strict rules and inflexible approach to certain situations can be off-putting for some guests.
